Silicon Wedding Ring for Men

Here is my husband posing with his new silicone wedding ring. We have been together for almost 15 years, and he has never worn a ring for me. He hates the metal ones because it makes him feel like he can't squeeze his fingers together without it getting in the way. So when I got the opportunity to try this ring, I asked him if he would be ok with wearing it.

He said he would try.

And he did.

For a day.

You see, he works with his hands. His hobby is woodworking and he makes gorgeous pieces of furniture. And so that is why he was willing to try this silicon ring.

But we ran into another issue. The "rubber" silicon makes his finger sweaty. He hates his hands sweaty so it makes him feel uncomfortable. We went for a walk in the semi-hot evening sun and he could barely take it anymore. He said he would wear it for me, but he didn't like it.

He is the most picky man ever, but that is why he chose an AMAZING WIFE!! :)

So, let me tell you a bit about this ring. It is said to be high quality, made from medical hypoallergenic silicone rubber. I did not know there were different types of silicone but it makes sense.

The medical grade silicone is non-conductive and 100% chemically inert. It isn't going to leach toxins into your skin, and if you wear it, you won't ever have to worry about getting the ring off during an accident when your fingers swell.

It is ultralight, and goes up to men's size 12. That is my husband's size so thankfully it fit him.

I don't think this would be a replacement for a real wedding band (my husband's wedding band is in a drawer, tucked safely away). Instead, this would be a GREAT token to wear when you are working with heavy machinery or industrial equipment, when you are camping or hiking, when you are running a marathon, etc. Any place you don't want to risk injuring yourself or losing your ring.
