Fractionated Coconut Oil

I love to make personal care products from scratch. I have many basic ingredients from clays and different base oils, to shea butter, beeswax, and tons of essential oils!

One important ingredient is fractionated coconut oil.  One of the most common ways to use this is as a carrier oil for essential oils.

Now, I love essential oils. However, I do not support ingesting them without being under the care of someone certified who knows your health history, and I do not support using them undiluted. So that is where this amazing stuff comes in!

One of my favorite essential oils is frankincense. It is probably one of the best healing oils of all time. It is great for your skin, but also has great immune boosting capabilities. And I love to use this on my skin.

Many people use regular coconut oil as a carrier oil, and that is ok. I do that too, sometimes. However, fractionated coconut oil has some benefits over regular coconut oil. It primarily contains the fatty acids capric and caprylic acid. Since the majority of the impurities are removed, it is much more stable and has a longer shelf life.

Some main uses for fractionated coconut oil:

1. Skin care products
2. Makes GREAT conditioner for hair
3. Can be used as personal lubricant
4. Massage oil
5. High heat point so great for cooking
6. Carrier oil when using essential oils topically
7. LONG shelf life -- this lasts longer than regular coconut oil and won't ever go rancid

Because it is very pure, it is more costly than regular coconut oil. However, the price of it offered here, only $16.50 for 16 oz is an amazing deal. I recommend getting some now! Click the Amazon link above to place your order. I saw on Amazon that doTERRA's 3.8 oz bottle of fractionated coconut oil was over $13. That is less than 1/4 the size of Majestic Pure Cosmeceutical's fractionated coconut oil, and only a couple dollars cheaper.... you get SO MUCH MORE!
