Essiac+ Plus Support Formula from Purify Your Body

Here's some information about our Essiac+ Plus Support formula! This is one of my best formulas (although I really love them all!). Let's tell you a little bit more about this formula and how to best use it to your advantage.

Since you purchased this product, you probably have heard about the Essiac formula created in the 1920s, by Canadian nurse Rene Caisse. She promoted Essiac tea as a natural cancer treatment, claiming that it was given to her by a patient who originally received it from an Ontario Ojibwa medicine man. While I cannot make medical claims, I can offer this herbal tincture with all 4 of the same ingredients from the original formula, as well as 3 additional ingredients that are great for supporting your health during this difficult time. Folks who are not battling illness might use this formula as a detoxifying elixir or as a general health tonic. Now, the dosage and how to take it.

Dosage: Take 10-30 drops 2-3x per day in juice or tea. You CAN take under your tongue if you want. It is just easier to get down when putting in juice. If you are battling chronic illness, you will want to work your way up to 30 drops 3x per day. That will make this 2 oz formula last no more than 2-3 weeks.

Why are tinctures a preferred method of taking herbs? Because tinctures are potent! You don’t waste your money on pills that have been in the manufacturing process for months / years and lose potency! With an alcohol base, the tinctures pull out all the medicinal benefits of the plant, and preserve them naturally for you! They don’t lose potency over time. If you forget about this formula in your cupboard and find it in 5 years, you can still take it! It will still be potent! Isn't that cool?

A question I get asked a lot is about the dosage for kids or babies. This formula would be fine to take for toddlers and children. Just 1/4 the dose for toddlers and 1/2 the dose for kids 3-12. Kids over 12 can take the adult dose.

Here are the ingredients in this amazing formula:

Burdock Root: Burdock’s medicine is today most often associated with supporting the liver and skin. Burdock is a bitter digestive stimulant and supporter of kidney function. Burdock can soothe inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema, dandruff & acne. Burdock can also help with digestion and appetite through stimulating digestive secretions, and can be a possible support in anorexia nervosa. It can support treatment of arthritis, cystitis and chronic, stagnant conditions that call for moistening, nourishing & clearing. At the right dosages it is said to help purify the liver, lymph & blood.

Indian Rhubarb Root: This amazing herb is said to provide relief from a variety of symptoms such as constipation and fever. It is also believed to treat cancer, treat infections, and boost the immune system.

Sheep Sorrel Root: Sheep Sorrel Root is perhaps best known in herbal circles as one of the main ingredients in the famed Essiac formula. It has been used down through the centuries as a traditional blood purifier and as an herbal aid for kidney health.

Slippery Elm: This herb is useful in gastritis, PUD, enteritis, colitis, diarrhea.  Through reflex action, it is a respiratory soothing expectorant (especially in spasmodic coughs) and a urinary soothing diuretic.  Used as a soothing food in convalesence.

Blessed Thistle: Blessed thistle is used for loss of appetite and indigestion; and to treat colds, cough, fever, bacterial infections, and diarrhea. It is also used as a diuretic for increasing urine output, and for promoting the flow of breast milk in new mothers.

Watercress: Watercress has been in use as an herbal medicine for treating many ailments, including chest and kidney problems, inflammation of the skin, glandular swelling, and more. It is a blood purifier and a cleansing herb. It’s high content of vitamin C makes it a remedy that is particularly valuable for chronic illnesses. Watercress is a known health food with anti-inflammatory properties, and is useful to counteract colds, coughs, allergic reactions, bronchial issues, and more.

Red Clover: A sweet, cooling and tasty herb, red clover is clearing and mildly nutritive. It has affinities with the respiratory, circulatory and lymphatic systems and is known as a relaxing expectorant and a “blood cleanser”. It has a reputation as a remedy for coughs, skin issues, & lymphatic indications.
