Collapsible travel dog bowls

I received this (3) pack of collapsible travel pet bowls. The Amazon page listed them for small to medium dogs. My dog is large, as you can tell by the picture, and so they don't work for him, unfortunately. I took the picture on their Amazon listing, and compared it to what I actually received. While these are decent quality, I really got a laugh about the size (although I read the listing and should have been able to convert the dimensions in my head).

They are made of high quality food grade silicone, which I love. I have some baking mats and other kitchen items made out of silicone and I have been pleased.


You can use these for food or water. But please remember that they are SMALL. I am now going to be using them for my cat as she is the right size for them -- she is about 13 lbs.  They are only 5" in diameter and 2" high. So that is the size you are looking at when using these.

Fits in your Pocket, Purse, Backpack or Glove Box, and is dishwasher safe.

Rawhide Bones For My Dog

I love giving my dog treats, and when an opportunity arises to review products for him, he is a willing participant. So we requested to try something fun for him.

In this case, we received 20 medium rawhide bones. They are probably better for a small dog. Aegis is around 90 lbs and when he carries one in his mouth it barely sticks out on each side.

Nonetheless, he acts like a crazy pupping jumping all around and attacking the rawhide. Then he rolls on it. And tosses it up in the air, and then shakes his head too and fro (ferociously) and finally settles in to chew it up.

My plan is to give him one of these occasionally, not every day. I do not know where they were made (I asked the company but they didn't respond) and when I asked what the ingredients were, they told me that they were made with the highest quality materials available. I have no clue what that means. If I lived in a cave, I wouldn't have many materials available to me so maybe I would use a leaf as toilet paper. That made me suspicious.

They say it is all natural rawhide. Ok, that is fine with me, but what are the ingredients? (They finally got back to me and said it is rawhide. That is it. No other ingredients. I am a dunce because I don't know what rawhide is... from beef? pork? I honestly don't know!!)

They also said it was the best taste ever. Ok. Compared to what? Everything in the world? My dog really likes a good t-bone steak and I am guessing he would choose that over this rawhide.

They said there were no artificial colors or flavors.


But I still don't know where they were made or what the ingredients are. Except that they are rawhide.

And I am ok with things that aren't perfect, but I do appreciate transparency. So, I am going to use these as if they are an occasional treat for my dog. Not every day. Maybe once or twice a week.

He sure does like them!

Many Uses For Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon essential oil is one of the few "must have" essential oils in my household. I use it for so many things (almost everything except for ingestion!)

You should NOT drink a drop of lemon oil in water in the morning like many EO consultants tell you to do! The ONLY times you should ingest essential oils are when you are under the care of a certified aromatherapist who knows your background and health history, or a naturopathic doctor with essential oil knowledge -- and even then it should be for a very short time, for acute issues. And properly. NEVER take an essential oil mixed with WATER! Ack! Nope. Oil and water doesn't mix, so it is the same as if you put the essential oil directly in your mouth and swallowed. Water does NOT offer any dilution of an EO. Besides, one drop is the equivalent of up to 75 cups of tea -- one drop!! Would you ever drink 75 cups of lemon tea for any reason? Craziness!

Ok, off my rant and back to the matter at hand.... all the wonderful things you can do with lemon essential oil!

My favorite of course is cleaning. Lemon essential oil is one of the number one cleaning tools in my house. I use it to make my basic counter top spray of distilled white vinegar, water and lemon essential oil. Put it in a spray bottle and you have window cleaner, counter top cleaner, wall cleaner, and any other surface area you want cleaned. Even your bathroom!

For a heavier duty clean I use a spray bottle with miracle soap and water, and lemon essential oil.

For a scrub I mix up baking soda, water and lemon essential oil. This is for dirtier areas that also require more elbow grease.

And lemon is one of my favorite essential oils to diffuse, as it is very uplifting and energizing. I have 3 essential oil diffusers for different areas in my house.
