MSNBC and NPR and probably a host of other news corporations did tests on a brand of
detox foot pads that I will not name, nor will I ever use or recommend. They start with a "K". Because the foot pads are filled with cornstarch (the generic name for "dextrin" or "vegetable fiber") you can assume that they barely pulled anything out of your body through your feet, onto the foot pad. And the test results proved that. They aren't going to damage you (except your wallet). They just won't do any good.

What really gets me ticked off is that they immediately lump every brand of foot pad into this same pile, and scream "They are all a scam! Don't waste your money!" It is like testing a Toyota for brake failure, and saying that all cars have brake failure. This is not true. Or  I would be riding my bicycle vs. my 10-year old Dodge Ram pickup truck!
I get email after email from my customers, telling me why they continue to buy my foot pads month after month. They sleep so well after using them, and feel refreshed. They don't get migraines anymore, they use them for gout flareups, and then more consistently to stop flareups from happening. Fibromyalgia, inflammation, chronic immune disorders... They help with ear infections and cancer treatments. (If someone decides to choose chemotherapy or radiation for cancer treatment, Purify Your Body detox foot pads help with the side effects). They truly DO pull out toxins, heavy metals, etc.
Before I even created Purify Your Body as a business years ago (2005), I had sent in some foot pads for testing. I wish I kept those results to post them. They proved to me that the foot pads were doing something besides just creating a placebo effect on me, because honestly, I was feeling great!
Why do people need to continue using them? Well, I know that I am exposed to a lot of toxins every day, in the foods I eat (although I try to eat healthy), in the commercial shampoos and makeup I wear (again, I try to limit my exposure, but I still purchase my favorite drugstore conditioner, loaded with parabens and other toxins... Infusium 23 is one of my faves). I eat a ton of chocolate, I don't exercise nearly as often as I should, and while I am not overweight, I of course wish that my muscle tone was better than it was! I breathe exhaust fumes, sometimes am exposed to secondhand smoke, and sometimes drink soda pop! I clean mostly with all natural cleansers (but not all, I still use a few bleach based products) So even in my life, while actively trying to avoid toxins, I still get a large dose every day. Most of the rest of our society doesn't even take the drastic measures I take, so I can imagine the toxins that are finding their way into their bodies. Especially those who work in labs, factories or beauty salons and are exposed to harsh chemicals all the time, or landscapers who expose themselves to commercial fertilizers or pesticides or herbicides.
So, what can you do? Well, I am pretty much in control of my toxins. (haha, that sounds funny!) I use my foot pads only on the weekends, and I don't get much goo out like I used to. So as long as I consistently use them, and watch my toxin levels, I feel pretty good :)
I truly recommend my detox foot pads as a way to good health. It may take months of using them to have the goo stop coming out like a faucet at night... it may be an ongoing thing you want to do every weekend like I do. It may spur you into trying to avoid more toxins in your life as well. You may only want to try it a few times and realize that it isn't for you, putting on foot pads at night and peeling them off in the morning and washing your feet. But there may come a day when you are feeling so lethargic and sick, that you will decide it is worth it.
Purify Your Body was created in 2005, and I feel I have the best ingredient combination in my foot pads. There are no fillers, none of that cornstarch in the foot pad. So, my foot pads cost a little more than other brands to make.... but I am adamant about good quality ingredients, my factory is ISO certified, registered with the FDA and gets audited to make sure they are really doing what they are supposed to be doing in a safe environment. Yes, they are made overseas in China. Most all of them are made in Asia, I think only one brand is made in Africa. But throughout my dealings with factories in China over the years, I know that there are some (definitely not all) that actually produce good products with quality raw materials, AND treat their employees decent. China gets a bad rap, sure, but if there were a factory that made them in the U.S. I would definitely look into changing facilities. As it stands now, there is none. And no chance in the foreseeable future.
I am a one-person business. I am the one who responds to all emails, fills all orders (sometimes with help from my husband or my dogs, don't know which one is more helpful hah). I am a real person, who cares about my customers and communicate with them on an individual basis. I have full confidence in the quality of my foot pads, and offer a money back guarantee. I ship within one business day, with few exceptions. If you want to return your foot pads, you don't have to wait 90 days to get reimbursed...  (I actually have about 1 or 2 people per year that want to return my foot pads!).
I try to always be honest, and give the best advice I know how. I am not a medical doctor. I am a fanatic about natural health. I am a firm believer in getting your nutrition from REAL FOOD, and exercising, and buying local, and meditating and giving thanks for your blessings. I am pretty much against western medicine that treats symptoms vs. the cause, and just slaps a person with meds to address the symptoms (usually resulting in more symptoms from the side effects). But I have a huge respect for our trauma care, and love how advanced medical technology has gotten in keeping a person alive after a car crash, or other horrendous accident.
So, all in all, that is Purify Your Body, and my detox foot pads. I have customers all over the world. I offer free priority mail shipping to all U.S. and military addresses, and usually throw in an extra pack as my way of saying thank you to our military. I do charge for international shipping, and wish it was cheaper than it is, but I don't regulate postage prices.
I am very blessed to have all of you reading this, and thankful for all my customers. When I think of the the blessings I have in my life, my customers definitely are at the top of my list.
Try the foot pads out. I offer free samples, just visit my site and send an email to me. Sometimes I include a discount coupon as well :)
And to finally answer the question, Are detox foot pads a scam? Some are, some aren't. Purify Your Body detox foot pads definitely are NOT a scam. They are the real deal.
